A5 notebook - "They Were Just Difficulties to Overcome" NEW Bonvini 1909 - Edizioni Bonvini
Bonvini 1909 artist collaboration notebook.
The notebook " They Were Only Difficulties to Overcome" is part of the Author's Notebooks series. The cover features an illustration from the play " Ernest Henry Shackleton. The Hero Who Defeated Antarctica ," written and performed by Paolo Colombo and illustrated live by Michele Tranquillini.
The story begins in 1914 , and just as the devastating fire of World War I ignites, Sir Ernest Shackleton embarks on an incredible, entirely peaceful undertaking. He will be the first to cross Antarctica on foot . The result is a true Odyssey that will last two long years, during which the twenty-eight protagonists will survive among the ice in seemingly impossible conditions. An impressive and compelling story, one of leadership, determination, mutual trust, and unwavering optimism. A story that forces us to ask ourselves what it means to be 'heroes' and – above all – what idea of heroism (of war or peace?) we want for the times we live in.
